Is it all us guys? Is it all parents? Or is it just me?

Am I the only one who worries that my baby will emerge from the womb and not be beautiful? It it just me or is there always that slight fear that you’ll sire something out of the movie “I Am Legend”? I know I can’t be the only one who has this unfounded fear for the nine months leading up to the big day. Please tell me I’m not crazy.

And then in an instant all fear is gone… Daddy loves you Tanner!

Yea my previous blog code was nice (not just because I wrote the entire thing myself in ColdFusion), but to save time and effort I decided to let others do the work for me and migrate everything over to WordPress.  With thousands of free themes and plugins it’s really a no-brainer.

I tried my best to get the new site up and running before the new baby came along, but I didn’t want the site to potentially be down during the delivery (if there happened to be issues during the migration.)

Thanks to Chris and Shawn for their assistance along the way.  Guess this means I’ll be learning PHP here and there now.

This is too funny… The “One Semester of Spanish - Love Song”

OK, that’s not entirely accurate.  A few years ago our dog “Uno” decided he would have some fun with a friends carpet. We were visiting out of town and took the dog along for the road trip.  We decided to lock him in their office one night while we went out to eat (thinking he would be fine in there.) However, when we returned to our surprise he decided he would attempt to “eat his way out” of the room and tore the carpet to shreds.  In my anger I called him a “jerk” and then immediately started laughing when I realized that I had called a furry black creature a name usually bestowed upon other humans.  It didn’t stop there…. In the days and weeks that followed Brin and I found ourselves trying to come up with other terms of human non-endearment for the dog.  We had fun with that for quite a while.

On a better note… Uno really is the greatest dog I’ve been around.  He was our first “baby” and we love this jerk to death!

What dog sits like this?? I mean honestly!

I can’t remember if this was a photo op, or if he was really sleeping like this on the bed.

I posted this to Twitter today but figured I’d pass it along to everyone else too.

When picking up some food for our dog today I stumbled upon this… What is the world coming to?  Again I say…. What is the world coming to when we have to feed our pets frozen yogurt.  Not only frozen yogurt, but ORGANIC frozen yougurt??? Not sure which is more pathetic, the company who is selling it or those who buy it.  (Also note that it has to have a trendy” name “Yöghund”)

The text at the bottom reads:

“Orgainc Frozen Yogurt For Dogs. A Gourmet Healthy Treat. for a better dog’s life“

So last night we were all eating corn on the cob using the standard two pronged corn holders (or “handles” as my son calls them) when the unexpected happened.  I must have inserted the holder incorrectly and was exerting too much pressure because it sprung from it’s position in the end of the cobb and into the flesh of my cheek!  All I can say is i’m glad it wasn’t my eye! After-the-fact Brin and I couldn’t stop laughing… What are the chances?
