Guitar Pedalboard [June 2008 Update]

I’ve posted some pedalboard pics on Flickr and Facebook but never on my own blog (go figure). Anyways, here’s what I’ve got going on as of now. Only thing I have yet to do is re-arrange the setup. I’m planning on moving the volume and wah to the center of the board again and moving my return pedals (delays, tremolo and reverb) back to the right side of the board. Being right handed it’s too difficult to “tap” on those pedals on the left.

Oh man, I’ve heard nothing but stupid ridiculous amazing things about the Empress Tremolo. Fun stuff man! Lots of time based fun toys not too many overdrives/distortions I like it! What’s your guitar/amp setup?
@WorshipCity Yea I was so blown away by the Empress Tremolo that I pre-ordered the Empress Superdelay based on their pre-release videos and sound clips. I was NOT disappointed.
As for guitar/amp setup. Currently I’m just playing a standard Strat through a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special. The reason I went with this amp is because each of the two channels has a selectable 5/15/30 watt config allowing me to lower the headroom and have a drive channel at lower volumes.
So basically for OD/Distortion I have three options.
1. Channel two of the amp = bluesy drive
2. Xotic AC Booster = bluesy to moderate Dist
3. Box of Rock = all out Marshall Dist
Love the setup. Although I am a boogie hater. 4 stages of gain after eq just doesn’t ad up.

I’m a big fan of the SKB PS-45, but I modded the power input so that the cable can be removed. My knobs are much happier how, as they aren’t randomly changed by the cable flapping around inside the box when I’m traveling.
@Vince Yea I bought that Boogie when I was a guitar newbie based on the selectable wattage feature. Granted it sounds pretty good even now but definitely not a Boogie fanboy. What are you playing through amp wise?
@Jay Great idea regarding the power cord! I’ll have to give that a whirl.
A little background, I used to build guitar amps. and i still dabble in it for myself and my friends. I used to build John Suhr’s amps.
Lately i have been hacking into the Epiphone Valve Junior. I made some tone tweaks and took a little gain out of it. I’m really digging it for worship. It provides a great neutral palette that loves being shaped by a fully stocked pedal board.
That amp has been reincarnated as the Blackheart, this time with a tone stack…which i was about to put in the VJ…i think i am going to pick up one of those and tweak it into shape.
But if i could play any amp in the world in a worship setting, It would have to be the Suhr Badger.
@Vince I have a buddy of mine out here that does that type of thing. Me… I’m totally ignorant about electronics. Cool about the Blackheart. I was reading up on those a few weeks ago as well as the Suhrs. I’m definitely in the market for something more portable than a 2 x 12″ monster and both of those suggestions fit the bill.
