Yeah, well I have issues like that with firefox all the time. I wouldn't use it at all but I develop websites and I need to check compatibility in all sorts of browsers.

It is amazing how odd the FireFox memory leak issues are. I can leave work with FireFox open with about 6-8 tabs open, and it will be using approx 40-50mb. When I come in the next day it is usually between 150-500mb and I have had over 1gb at certain times. And that is with no one using the machine. It just continues to use memory even with no activity. Try it out ;)

@B.Soto Yea it was probably due to playing embedded Quicktime or something like that... FF 3 is coming next week so let's hope that fixes some of the memory management issues!

ROFL!! Sorry man, that sucks. But unless you have over 10 windows open watching Flash HD movies and streaming DivX, then this must be some kind of virus. I'd back up my bookmarks and then totally reinstall. Or just switch to like Opera or Safari or something - lol @ 1.3 gigs.

Good Lord! I had IE run away on me once, I shut it down when it got to about 900-megs, but that was just FF running normally. Unload some extensions! LOL
