Economic Stimulus?

My brother John forwarded this to me today and had to re-post it. 

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

    haha That was good. Ya, I think the plan is more of a 'give them money so they don't revolt' package than a stimulus package.

    Nice.. Yea, there's definitely an element of truth there. Only real stimulus would be to cut taxes across the board on ALL our paychecks for a few months.

    That's too funny. Unfortunately for my family we will not be seeing too much of that cash. Oh well, there is always the next stimulus package. :)

    And I'm sure there will be another one when this one fails. Unfortunately this most likely will be the case based on economics 101 (which most of Washington seems to beignorantto.)
