That hilarious (in a sad way), but true. Just like the comedian says, a lot of people think they are owed things in life. Things that aren't necessities but luxuries. Yea this current economic slowdown might cause us to have to cut out a few nights out, but is that so bad? Like you said, maybe it will bring the American family unit a little close in the process?

I know.. Go figure, can't afford it, don't do it.

That's a foreign concept to most of this generation.

Wow, I had NOT seen this. But its true--- the reason so many people have had problems over the recession is that they are "owed" things they thought they needed. I had a classmate dare say "I now have to eat HOME 2 nights a week!"
What? I eat out Fri night or Sat night, and maybe lunch on Sunday-- my life didn't change with the recession. It all is about priorities in life! Wow, when was the last time you played a board game with someone? My wife and I have a blast doing that most Sat afternoons- teaches relations!

Good post- I'm going to quit before I write a comment bigger than it!

"And then when you ran out of money, you just go, 'Well, I can't do any more things now.' " lol

This is so true! I saw this on Ragamuffin Soul's blog and really agreed with what the comedian said. I am not sure if people were happier or more sad back in the day, but with all of the new "stuff" and technology today, people just do not seem happy. What do we have to be sad about most of the time??

Thanks for sharing the video with everyone.

Couldn't agree more with this guy. We are such a spoiled generation. People "back in the day" appreciated the things in life that really mattered, not the 3 second delay in our cell service or internet connection. Sitting around their homes reading a good book together, talking...imagine! =)
